Our 2nd Spring Chapter Meeting will be Monday, March 11, 7:15pm at the Sokol club.

Also, If you are interested in attending the WPIAL Hall of Fame Banquet, please attend this meeting.

If you can not attend and are interested in the banquet, please email Deb McSwiggen by 1:00 pm Monday, March 11.

Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 11, 2019 at the Sokol Club 7:15pm. Chapter Dues, in the amount of $40, are due by this date. Also, we can count 2 meetings for the Spring towards the 6 needed for chapter meetings in the fall. You may attend as many chapter meetings that you want, however, only 2 will be counted. Thank you to all who attended the R2 Clinic this past Saturday.

Reminder: R2 clinic this Saturday, March 2, at Shaler High School. Doors open at 9AM.

It is my pleasure that I inform the Golden Triangle chapter members that our very own, Joe Hardiman, will be inducted into the 2019 WPIAL Hall of Fame! This is a great honor and Joe is well deserving to be recognized by the WPIAL. He will be among some of the greatest coaches, officials, and players in Western PA to receive this honor. Congratulations Joe!

Sunday, February 24, 2019 will be our first spring meeting. 7:15pm Sokol Club, East Carson Street, Southside. Also, we will be conducting an R2 clinic on March 2nd at Shaler High School…doors open at 9:00am. First and second year officials must attend. Dave Mrvos will be conducting the clinic along with several of our seasoned officials. There will be classroom instruction along with live court practice. This will be a great opportunity for anyone who wants to improve on their R2 skills. Credit for a meeting will be given. Please make time in your schedule to attend.

Meeting dates for 2019 – All meetings will be held at the Sokol Club, East Carson Street, Southside, PA…7:15pm (except August 11th 7:00pm start)

February 24th, March 11, April 7th

August 4th, August 11th (Mandatory Rules Interpretation), August 25th, September 8th, September 22nd, October 6th, October 20th.

You must attend the Mandatory Rules meeting and 6 chapter meetings.

Sad to report that John Robuck passed away.  He a beloved official with the Golden Triangle chapter from the beginning.  I had the pleasure of working with John my first year with the chapter.  He officiated with a positive attitude and had a great sense of humor.  He will certainly be missed by all.
