NFHS Officials Insurance Coverage

You should have received and email from Bill Sinnings in regards to PIAA no longer insuring officials. It is now the responsibility of the individual or the chapter. I have information in regards to obtaining group insurance via National Federation of High School Association (NFHS). Attached are the requirements we must meet to be eligible along with what is covered in this plan. Our chapter would qualify for the plan that would cost $25 per member. We will discuss this at the chapter meeting on Sunday.

If possible, please take a few moments to review this information before the meeting.

Thank you

PIAA Convention

If you are interested in attending the PIAA convention, August 9-10, please let me know. GTCCVO will pay the registration fee…there are 3 spots still available. So far the following people are on the list to go:

Janet O’Dell, Kris Ruppert, Matt Martin, Charlie Deer, Dan Wolfe, Joe Hardiman, Bill Kissell. If you told me wanted to go and you are not on this list, let me know ASAP.

You can email me at [email protected]. I need to know by May 29th.

Spring Volleyball Season

The Men’s volleyball season is well underway as the second half of the season has begun. Although all the matches have been assigned, there have been weekday matches and Saturday tournaments that officials need to be replaced for whatever reason. Please make sure that if you are NOT available to work that you BLOCK those dates in the arbiter. If Joe, Tom or myself call you last minute because you are showing “available” than we expect you to be able to go wherever a match or tournament needs covered. Thank you to the officials who have come through last minute and covered matches, it is appreciated!

PIAA convention

The PIAA convention will be held August 9-10, 2019 at the Hilton Hotel in Harrisburg. Golden Triangle Chapter in the past have sent 10 chapter members. If you are interested in attending, please email me [email protected]. The chapter will pay the registration fee, hotel and meals are your responsibility.
