Last chapter meeting/officers & board positions

Our last chapter meeting was held Sunday, October 20, 2019. Elections were held for the positions of Vice President, Recording Secretary, Assigner, and two board seats. I would like to announce the winners after the votes were tallied. Vice President: Dave Mrvos; Recording Secretary: Karen Ricco; Assigner: Matt Martin; and board members: Kim Guseman and Eric Ressler. A seat on the board was vacated due to Dave Mrvos becoming Vice President. Dan Wolfe was elected to fill that seat.

I would like to thank Joe Hardiman for his years of service as our chapter Assigner. Golden Triangle Volleyball Chapter would not be where it is today without his dedication and perseverance. I truly appreciate all that Joe has done for our chapter and I’m sure everyone in our chapter agrees.

I look forward to moving our chapter in a positive direction with our new officers and board members. I am always open to any suggestions you have for making our chapter even stronger than it has been for years. You can email or call me at any time.

Thank you to everyone who attended the meeting last night and I hope you all enjoyed the food and beverages that were provided. Good luck to our chapter members who are selected to work the WPIAL and PIAA volleyball playoffs and finals.

See you all in the spring for the boys’ season!

Best Regards,

Debby McSwiggen, President, G.T.C.C.V.O.

Per the discussion at last nights meeting pertaining to the NFHS Liability insurance policy. At the moment we have roughly 43 members interested in signing up. As a group submission, the fee will be $25 cash or paid to GTCCVO by check.  Please send your check to Loranne by mail ASAP or at the next chapter meeting.

Attached are informational links in case you are interested in learning more about this policy. For the members who were not in attendance. Please let me know ASAP if you are interested, I plan to submit our organization by Friday August 30th to ensure we are covered for the start of the season. If you have any additional questions please let me know.

Thanks!

NFHS Officials Insurance Coverage

You should have received and email from Bill Sinnings in regards to PIAA no longer insuring officials. It is now the responsibility of the individual or the chapter. I have information in regards to obtaining group insurance via National Federation of High School Association (NFHS). Attached are the requirements we must meet to be eligible along with what is covered in this plan. Our chapter would qualify for the plan that would cost $25 per member. We will discuss this at the chapter meeting on Sunday.

If possible, please take a few moments to review this information before the meeting.
