zoom meetings/chapter meetings

Please be advised that our chapter meetings, either zoom or in person, is not the venue for you to post or speak on your political beliefs. Our board has worked diligently to set the standards for officiating this fall season in accordance with the PIAA and WPIAL protocols. If you have any concerns about officiating, that is fine, please block or uncheck the “ready” status on your arbiter account and you do not have to attend any further chapter meetings.

We look forward to continuing in the right direction this season with the best interest for our officials. If you have any questions, please contact myself or Matt Martin.

August 30 chapter meeting

Chapter meeting August 30th…Sokol club or zoom..7:15 pm. This will be an extensive meeting providing information on the PIAA decision to go forward with fall sports. Mike McDonald, Heidi Miller, Donna Brady, and Pam Cheribin will be zooming in on our meeting to give additional information.

Also, we will be in the parking lot of the Sokol club at 6:00pm to hand out rule books/calendars…if you have not picked up your materials, please make every effort to pick them up if you will be zooming the meeting.

Proposed Amendment to GTCCVO By-Laws

The proposed amendment to the GTCCVO by-laws that was read on Sunday, have been posted on the arbiter. These by-law changes will be discussed at the next chapter meeting scheduled for August 30, 2020. If the PIAA determines the fall season for volleyball will be canceled, this proposal will be tabled until a TBD chapter meeting is set.

I would like to bring to the chapter membership attention that your annual dues pay for chapter expenses including, use of the Sokol Club for our meetings, Zoom meetings, calendars, arbiter expense, and a dinner provided to the membership at the end of our fall meetings along with any other unexpected expense(s) that arise. We have approximately 120 chapter members so each member’s share towards the arbiter expense is approximately $8.50 give or take.
